Our Story

A10 Pet Services was my first business founded in 2015, born from a genuine love of dogs and a desire to build something both friendly and professional. The inspiration behind it all was Indy, my Dalmatian, who sadly passed away but whose spirit still shapes everything we do. From the moment I brought her home, my passion for dogs grew into a clear ambition: to build a career around caring for them.

What began as a dog walking and pet sitting business in North Hertfordshire quickly grew, and I'm proud to have built a trusted team to carry that side of things forward — Alice, Caroline and Emma, who many of our clients will already know.

After the birth of my daughter in 2018, I made the decision to qualify as a professional dog groomer, a path that allowed me to combine my growing family life with my love of working with dogs. It's a decision I've never once regretted. I have a particular passion for the creative side of grooming, and I specialise in grooming all things doodle, poodle or spaniel. However I now thoroughly enjoy and adore hand-stripping.

A huge part of my knowledge and experience comes from working alongside Rachel, of Rachel's Dog Grooming in Milton Keynes. As a self-employed stylist, I was fortunate to gain hands-on experience with a wide variety of breeds and grooming styles, building the foundation for the standards I hold today.

In 2022, I launched The Dog Spot from my parents' home in Sandon, with the goal of working closer to home and on my own terms. I wanted to control the whole of the dogs experience, from how they are greeted, how the dogs experience is the main focus and creating a non rushed, luxury experience for every single dog. What started in a small trailer quickly outgrew its space, leading me to invest in a bespoke dog grooming pod. As the business grew, so did the opportunity — and in 2025, that growth brought us to a salon I could only have dreamed of when I first started grooming eight years ago. This current chapter is one I'm incredibly proud of, and one that allows me to better support my family while doing the work I love. 

Indy is the reason I do what I do. She gave me the drive to work with animals and set the standard of care I still hold myself to today. Having been a dog owner myself, I understand exactly what it means to want the very best for your beloved companion. Although she's no longer with us, her memory and legacy live on in every dog I groom.
